Is It Worth Repairing Backlight On Asus Monitor

Hello there,

I've recently aquired a used monitor Asus pg279q. It'due south almost in a great shape. It'southward out of warranty simply the previous owner agreed to take the monitor back (I had him sign a contract that he would take back the monitor if it had any subconscious defects.) Now, the problem that I have is that the first time I plugged it in (2 days agone) afterward cca x minutes only nearly a 1 third of the screen was lit. I tried playing with the settings both on the monitor and in Windows and changing the resolution actually helped. I guess magic. (possibly the bodily refresh of the screen helps when you modify the resolution) The monitor continued to work well only then the next day it went dim over again. And changing the resolution would only piece of work for like a 2d when it would light up as it'southward supposed to and so dim once more. I tried it like a dozen times changing resolution and Hz with 1920x1080 setting information technology right. Afterwards 10 minutes I set information technology back to the full resolution - 2560x1440 144Hz and since and so it works just fine with no hiccups. New monitor in my country costs 800usd and I bought this 1 for 250usd which is an excellent deal in my listen for a working monitor of this quotient.

At present what to do? Is it a big technical problem significant that it's gonna come up back and only get worse? Tin can you help me understand what might cause the trouble? Should I but get rid of it ASAP? Or is information technology a cheap fix?
I have upwards until next week to render the monitor.

For connection I merely used DisplayPort. There were no new drivers installed since plugging this monitor in. Everything is the same.
I have an EVGA 1060 6GB ssc,

led is merely led, there is difference in colors, its usage (outdoor/indoor), effulgence, so on and and then fort
shouldnt really matter if its cheap or not, led volition somewhen dice, usualy effectually 2 years on 24/7 daily use here some industrial stuff if ure worried near cheap leds

if its only backlit its quite cheap to repair
ive used to have ccfl (cathode tubes) backlightt on my aged notebook and replaced it with led backlight for about 10 bucks (eight strips)
